United Way of Warren County works with companies
throughout Warren County and throughout the Tri-State area
running workplace campaigns for United Way. Most people feel
good about helping others. The United Way workplace campaign
makes it easy for people to do just that.
A typical workplace
campaign has two components. The Corporate Gift and the Employee
Giving Campaign.
The Employee Giving Campaign is based on
giving employees an opportunity to make a payroll deduction
contribution to United Way. A gift of a few dollars a week,
amounting to cup of coffee, soda or pizza, is easy on the
budget, convenient, and tax deductible. Of course cash or
checks are gladly accepted, but the payroll deduction is
by far the most popular way to give because of its convenience,
ease, and affordability.
The employee giving campaign is based
on free choice. United Way strongly discourages any pressure
on employees to give. A well run campaign gives employees
enough information for them to decide whether to give, and
if so how much to give. A successful campaign results in
people having fun, and feeling good about supporting the
United Way.
United Way campaign teams are increasing employee
and corporate contributions year after year by:
- Enlisting
the support of top management

campaign team

through payroll deduction

A corporate gift allows corporations
to set the pace for the campaign, communicate the companies’ commitment
to the community, and have a large impact in people’s
lives. There are several ways to structure a corporate
gift, from a flat gift to a company match in which a corporation
will match employee giving on a percentage or dollar for
dollar basis. Many companies determine the size of their
corporate gift on a per capita basis, based on the number
of employees times an average amount which is typical for
a particular industry. To find out more please call 908-475-8600.
