Women's Leadership Council

omen's Leadership Council's Mission

United Way of Warren County Women's Leadership Council's mission is to improve lives through mobilizing the caring power of women in our community by collaborating, combining resources, and building a womens leadership initiative.

When women leaders join together, our voices, vision, and leadership have phenomenal impact.  The Women's Leadership Council taps into the power, talent, and passion of women leaders to transform our communities.

LIVE UNITEDIn the Things We Do.
We all want to make a difference -- to do something for someone who needs us. We want to be able to help make positive changes in people's lives, especially those of women, children and families in our community. We are everyday women, just like you, who care enough to help those who are less fortunate than we are. We may not change the world, but bit-by-bit; we change and improve the lives of those around us of those in the greatest need.

LIVE UNITEDIn the Way We Think.
The Women's Leadership Council recognizes women are change agents.  Their participation in addressing key social issues is critical to improving lives and enhancing philanthropy to impact other changing needs in our community.  We utilize our various talents to bring about change that leads to measurable results.

Mentoring Program

The Womens Leadership Council Mentoring Program provides an ideal opportunity for displaced homemakers and women in transition across the county to connect with a caring mentor who can help lead them to professional, social, and cultural resources, thus empowering themselves and improving their lives. The program provides women throughout the County the opportunity to:

  • Become leaders in their community,
  • Further develop their career path,
  • Enter or re-enter the work place,
  • Pursue formal education/training; and,
  • Seek personal self-sufficiency in multiple aspects of  their lives.
  • The one thing all of these women have in common is that they can use our help; and the one thing United Way need is more women like you to help us help them.Join our leadership program to share your talents, experiences, knowledge, and ultimately, power.  These women may be our sisters, the cashier at our local grocery store, our best friends daughters. Maybe theyre someone weve never met but will form a deep, compassionate friendship. Maybe these women are you, ten years ago or ten years from now.
