United Way of Warren County offers ways local residents can support Haiti earthquake relief efforts

United Way Worldwide Disaster Fund donations support long-term recovery efforts to rebuild lives and infrastructure devastated by the disaster, and to address educational, financial and health-related challenges.

United Way of Warren County, offers a way local residents can support Haiti earthquake relief efforts.  Consider donating to the United Way Worldwide Disaster Fund, which can be accessed online at  https://volunteer.united-e-way.org/uwwwdisaster/donate/.

Donations for Healthcare kit can be dropped off at the United Way office, 37 Belvidere Ave, Washington between 9:00 am - 4:00 pm.  Items for donation are:

New items are to be placed in a zip log gallon bag... 

• 1 hand towel (15 x 25 up to 17 x 27. No kitchen towels.
• 1 washcloth
• 1 comb (large and sturdy, not pocket-sized)
• 1 nail file or fingernail clippers (no emery boards or toenail clippers)
• 1 bath-size bar of soap (3 oz. and up)
• 1 toothbrush (single brushes only in original wrapper, no child-size brushes)
• 6 adhesive plastic strip sterile bandages
• $1.00 to purchase toothpaste

(NOTE: Toothpaste is purchased in bulk to be added to health kits to ensure that the product does not expire before they are sent.)

• Become a Leadership Giver with an annual gift of $1,000 to $9,999, or the local Tocqueville Society, with your annual gift of $10,000 or more.
